Well it's time for this chimp to go on another flight. *peeks at post count* Yep, seems about right. Only 90 more posts till the next milestone. Looks like I'm going to miss another one. :( I'm flying back to Florida on Tuesday. I'll be there till next Monday. I'm not sure how often or if I even will be on the computer. Heck, you guys will probably be rounding 8500 by the time I get back. LOL

I only wish I had more time. I'd swing up to Orlando and say hi to the group up there, or even make a trip down to Naples to say hi to Wingnut. But for now it'll be the Sarasota and Charlotte county areas that I'll be spending most of my time in.

I'll be on all day today trying to get to 8000 before the rest of you can. :P

Maybe...Maybe not....

Have a nice flight.

What's with Sarasota??? I have 2 friends that just moved up there last year...

Be careful and try to have a good time, although it's been hot as hell down here lately. We'll keep the forum warm for ya. :D

When I first moved to Florida I lived in North Port for about 2 years before I met my beautiful girlfriend who lived in Sarasota. We got an apartment together in Sarasota for about a year before moving out to California.

I hear of a lot of people relocating up there, but I've never heard of it being much of an attraction. It must be the cost of living, I know it's horrible here.

7940!!!! 60 away...

Well I made it to Florida. All safe and sound.

More later...

Things are going well here in Florida. And when I return to Cali I'll be opening up my own business. Things are looking good.

Chimp,

I missed your updated post, sorry 'bout that.

Good to hear the move back was good :) You have my email, I hope you keep in touch. And be sure to keep the forum updated.

Of all the people Ive /pretended/ to help with web hosting / design, I must say you're by far the most naturally talented and fastest learner. I hope you can find a way to throw that into your plans too, they're money to be made!

Take care, and keep us updated!

What are you going into buisness as? A Poo-Flinging security consultant? :D
Seriously - what are you going to do?

Matt, no I'm just visiting Florida. I'm staying in Cali.

Jon, as for the business, I will be picking up where the company I worked for (before it went bankrupt) failed. They had sooooooo many problems all because of the owner. Basically I took the one company and made it into three and I now operate with almost zero overhead. HA HA

What I sell are rustic, old world style interior and exterior doors. We will also sell and finish baseboard, trim, casing, crown molding, etc. Basically we take a brand new door and make it look like it's over a hundred years old. Our process of doing everything by hand allows us to make the doors look authentic. We're able to give each door it's own depth and character. Really awesome stuff.

Once I get the business name I'll be building a web site (thanks for the kind words Matt) and I'll be able to show you a gallery of our doors. But for now here is an example (taken from my old company's web site):

Talk to you all soon.

I love antiques, and things that look antique...that's awesome, beautiful work btw.

Good Luck!! Sounds like you've already got a great start!

Keep us updated, maybe when we finally get a house you'll have to make another trip out here to do our doors :D

I'd be more than happy to. And don't let the size of that door scare you. We also do standard size doors, and we can even continue the look through-out the entire house by doing the interior doors.

Okay, switching off of sales mode here. ;)

Can you make me a set of old-school firehouse garage doors - the ones that swing open to the side???? :D I want :D I want :D I want :D (Looks at school tuition bill - Nevermind :( )
