Which if any level of EMT close to LPN nursing?

Nah, what does a school nurse do that a paramedic isn't overqualified to do?

...except the poster said EMTs, not paramedics. The last thing I want to see is some elementary school EMT giving a kid aspirin because the kid has a fever.

EMT-Basics and Paramedics often can work at summer camps alongside nurses and medical staff. I'd say that's a great spot for them.

As a supplement, sure. However I would hesitate to call an EMT or paramedic working at a summer camp the "camp nurse."

I am an EMT Basic now, when the EMT-I course opens up I am going to take that as well. Which if any EMT level is most like a LPN course? Or going to prepair me for that course/ translates etc?

As said before, nursing at any level and EMS are like apples and oranges. For comparison sake, I do know that John Tyler, a college in the Richmond VA area, has an LPN to RN bridge. A paramedic, degreed or cert with pre reqs (doesn't matter), is considered the same as an LPN as far as entry requirements. Funny thing is, their hybrid (online didactic) program is actually easier (schedule wise) than the bridge.

I guess a question to the OP, if they ever show up again, would be this: What do you want to do? Nursing or EMS?
