What was your best Halloween call?

I don't remember anything substantial besides the kid s not feeling well, yes he is going to be fine he has a stomach ache because he ate sixteen snickers bars.

That's all I got nothing too dramatic.

last year was crazy for my crew. call after call after call...most not actually related to Halloween. MVAs, CPRs, DV assault and beatings, old ladies falling down the stairs, you name it, we go it that night. and to make it worse we were short staffed. We had to haul two pts from an MVA, drop them at the ER and head to a CPR. We were assigned to the CPR call before we even cleared the accident scene! I rode in back and put the rig back together on the way there.

But the one MVA, we had another amb running hot to another DV beating and (My thought is at least is that) these two drunk kids fixated on the lights as the amb passed them going the opposite direction. As it passed them, the driver was watching it in his mirrors and put the vehicle in the ditch, when he tried to steer out, they rolled, at like 70 MPH is what the trooper said he thought. I don't remember what the girl in the passenger seat was dressed as except she wasn't wearing much and it was all black, including her makeup. And she smelled like she had been marinated in alcohol. The guy driving was a pirate I think and he was pretty marinated too. The state trooper was like, "And that is why pirates should not have drivers licenses." Lol.

So, here's hoping for another busy night tomorrow cause I am working it again.

OK, this did NOT happen to me or anyone know. But I believe it is a true story, because it was on a Discovery Health reality show...it may have been Untold Stories of the E.R., I think.

Halloween night, a man comes into the ER. I forget if he came in or was brought in by POV, or if he get there by ambulance. Anyway, he had an axe (if I remember correctly, it was an axe, or maybe it was a big knife...) embedded in his skull. The man was still CAOx3, walking and talking, just had this axe in his head. Being Halloween, naturally everyone thought it was an effect, a prank. They didn't really take it seriously at first. Then someone decided to do an X-Ray, and lo and behold, it was real.

Halloween in West Hollywood... lets just say the engineer wasnt watch very well and when we came out there where 10 tranny hookers on top of the engine and about 600 feet of 1 3/4 being dragged away by 3 merman's.

Last year we responded to a fire on halloween night....the guy stopped us about 250 ft away saying that we might as well let it burn as there were 40,000+ rounds in the house.....he had approx 2,000 tracers...cool fireworks show lol....

Oooooh preeeetty. Hehehe.

Had a very drunk guy in a monkey suit today stumbling around the street. Last I saw the FD was checking a costume shop looking for him.

Had to take care of my girlfriend who does not know how to handle her alcohol... Don't see a bright future with this one

Just started my 24hr halloween shift. Hope it doesn't get too crazy because I have my first A&P class an hour after I'm supposed to get off tomorrow.

I feel like tonight won't be that bad. I mean, it's Sunday, so people have work tomorrow, right? They probably got it all out of their systems last night and are going to take it easier tonight. I'm going to just keep repeating that to myself over and over in hopes of it becoming true.

Psha, about a dozen people I know took tomorrow off so they could party tonight, and I don't know very many people.

Keep dreamin'.

Responded to an assault where someone tried to intervene on a group of kids administering a beatdown to someone. Supposedly 20-30 kids in the group, about 12-18 cop cars showed for this one.

I did an 8 hour ED shift on Friday night and we ended up with multiple assaults (a guy that got punched in the face, one guy got kicked in the face), a guy who jumped off a 3 story building and he only fractured a couple vertebrae and maybe has a liver laceration. We also had quite a few chest pains and a few respiratory problems, but nothing too crazy.

I go back today at 1400 so hopefully there will still be some people out celebrating :P

none yet. ill let you know tonight, i know of about six parties in town, then add in the regular "nutty" people and itll be a busy night here.

Have fun and be safe, looking forward to the sotries, would be a fun night to work for a rookie..

nothing, i was off duty anyway, and even though there were some nuts out, NOTHING, i am so disappointed, its ok though im probably working standby next weekend at the local MX track usually 2-3 crashes.
