his model can predict what resources are needed based solely on factors such as the incoming call’s zip code, time of day, police precinct and initial severity level.

Am I the only one who has ever heard a dispatch go out, and immediately knew 1) who the patient was and 2) what their complaint was, based solely on the location and time of day?

Still, I think this is pretty awesome... AI and big data can help make dispatch decisions... the one caution I would say is past EMS calls don't always corollate with future EMS call locations; we used to post EMS units based on historical call locations, and the blob was routinely wrong and left holes in our city's coverage.
