For those of you involved in EMS who are also college students, which college clubs or student activities do you partake in?

I am thinking about joining Brain Bowl, Microbiology Club, and Phi Theta Kapa Honor Society.

I am also on the roster to volunteer in the big brother big sister program.

Does your campus have any EMS specific clubs?

Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG).

Yes, we have the EMS club, which is the club that provides the EMS response for the campus.

Not that it's relevant to EMS, but I'm in our school's local ASME chapter :P

American red cross club (affliated with the local red cross chapter), we also have EMS

Our campus has a 24/7/365 Volunteer ALS-equipped agency which I ride for. Don't know of any emergency medical clubs other than the basic pre-med frats, etc.

Again, probably a late reply, but I thought this was interesting. Your uni's have EMS teams? Never heard of that before! That's really cool. Any more info would be excellent.

I am the Director of Medical Operations and a Clinical Supervisor for my campus EMS response organization. I am also involved heavily in religious life on campus, a volunteer group, and the mountain club.

I wish my school had an EMS related club, the closest thing we have is the Student Affiliation program with some of the fire departments where they train you to a firefighter 1, then pay for paramedic school while you pull shifts with them. Then again, that's not really even close to a club, but I thought I'd mention it.

Cal State Univesity at Humboldt has a CERT chapter.

Level III C.E.R.T. has advanced first aid aimed at disaster situations, so it may be a little warped, but pragmatic.

Oh yeah... tell me about it.
