It's getting pretty close to that time .. To pick state or national for my emtb test.
Would I be wrong in guessing the NR would be a tougher test ?? Or are they basically the same general test.
Is the NR a better license to have ... Looked at as better.. ect

I'm most likely going to work in Illinois.... But a nationally licensed emt b patch looks better ;)
thx for any input

National Registry is a certification, not a license. It doesn't, on its own, allow you to work anyplace. Every state is going to have their own license, regardless of whether the state requires NR or not. As such, if you think you're ever going to move, it makes sense to get NREMT even if IL doesn't require NREMT (I don't know whether they do or don't).

Take them both while you still won't have to do much review work. I have no idea how difficult the IL test, my Massachusetts test was slightly easier than the NR test but that means little to you.

You don't really pick a test, if you need one, take it.
