Looking for some extra work doing standby for special events in the la area. Any suggestions?

Medlife Ambulance in LA does funeral standbys. Exciting huh?

I've never heard of doing a standby at a funeral. Are these for celebrities or just normal funerals?

Check out craigslist. Didn't get the company name, but they said they only do standby events in los angeles. The post on craigslist is a few weeks old though

Normal funerals, usually for Owner's/manager's friends/family. It's done quite often. They usually have us post at the church, follow the motorcade to the burial, then head over to the reception.

Amphibious Medics, they usually do the adventure/mud run type races. I haven't worked for them, but have some friends who do, and haven't heard anything bad, yet...

Thats On Call Medic. I work for them. My first day was at the 2012 Emmys :P

Its not bad, but not great. You work as a 1099 not an employee. Take it for what you want. I am hoping to get a FT position with an IFT company soon so I may not have a lot of stand by time left.

On Call Medic has a contract with the LA Convention Center as one of 3 or 4 approved medical providers.

Any questions let me know.
