Being new, I didn't really know where to put this, but here goes.
Years ago, when plastic water bottles became really popular, I carried clean extras for my partner and I and whenever we ran calls with an Engine (mostly MVA's of if they were closer to a call) we would ask permission from the Engine Captain first, but we would refill our water bottles, sometimes with just plain cold water, but usually with that Sports Drink, when it first came out, that lemon-lime colored drink called "Gat***de, which was popular back then.
Well, their HQ started getting concerned about the rise in the usage of the expensive "Lemon-Lime Stuff" and pretty soon they found out why, several other crews had started bringing in water bottles too and was doing the same "refilling" thing as we were.
Well, all good things must end, the practice was stopped before it even started, hardly anybody knew about it, except a small group and we went back to buying Iced Tea at the local "Tasty Shack" Drive-In, darn it!!!
So, what do you (or did you) sip on all day?
