I'm finally taking my skills on April 9th what all skills do I need to know. PT assessment and CPR I know but what else?

Trauma assessment, medical assessment, backboarding, KED, Traction splinting, CPR/AED, O2 delivery via NRB, BVM of apnenic patient, long bone splinting, bleeding control. I believe those are all the skills.

Thanks! They don't test you over all of them do they?

You get tested on Medical assessment, trauma assessment, BVM, backboarding, CPR/AED, and O2 delivery via NRB are required for testing.

Then you have random skills (joint immobilization, long bone immobilization, KED, bleeding control). You will be tested on 1 of the random skills.

It all depends on where you are taking your test at. The testing facility may have you test on all of the random skills as well.

Firefite is correct, I was tested on all those skills with the exception of the traction splint. The random that was pulled on my skills test night was long bone immobilization. Memorizing the skill sheets and how you would execute those skills, verbalizing everything you are doing and everything you would say. That helped me tremendously. Good luck!
