Anyone working Rancho/Redlands know about this? Is it true?

Of course in reference to AMR, for those if you who don't know what I'm talking about.

The way EMS should be ran...

Last I heard they still respond with fire.

EMD is being implemented in the city of San Bernardino. In a nutshell, the dispatcher decides if a 911 calls gets a code 3 fire and AMR response or a code 3 AMR response only. The city of Riverside does this as well. I guess they are trying to reduce the number of times a giant tiller responds code 3 for someone who needs their medications refilled. Here are some articles for reference.....

I know the city of riverside started doing this a couple of years ago. From what I've been hearing by AMR guys there is that fire has started responding to everything again because they couldn't justify their budget.

All it is, is that San Bernardino City is implementing EMD. Either AMR ALS Only Code 3 or AMR and Fire Code 3 depending on the call.

Depending on the type of call... Our dispatch will tell you "AMR Only" or they will tell u who you are running with. If we get on scene first I'd say we typically cancel fire about 60% of the time anyway.
