I started out as an EMT-B, went to Respiratory school, and now i'm considering going back and doing medic school so I can be an RT/EMT-P. I'd like to work as a flight medic, since flight RT jobs seem non existant here in southern california. My question is, how difficult would medic school be compared to RT school, for those of you who have done both.

Edit: just realized i posted this in the wrong section, I apologize.

It should be pretty easy if you've already passed RT school. Seriously...EMS is taught at such a low level 99.9% of places that it's laughable. RT school is one of the more rigorous allied health programs out there. If you passed it, you should be able to make it through medic school without much difficulty.

Thanks for your input B)

Welcome...!

I used to know an RT from CA...wonder what became of her? Kind of off lately and even created a fake name on another site with a fake background.

Anyways, welcome, welcome!

I hope you pass paramedic school, really you should have no problem.

Once you obtain that certification you will be one serious clinician...I mean doing VENT support and MEDIC work...imagine the possibility. Pretty cool!

Let it never be you are not one for subtlety.
