so we moved in today, hes stationed at Moody right? wrong after everything is unpacked moved in ect he comes home..they ammended his orders so by wed we hve to be at laughlin afb....*ties self down to the rest of the "ambulance drivers" so as to not be uprooted again* Im about to tell the af what to do with themsel es....seriously we stayed in the House not even one full day...but I am glad I can harass you guys on myspace, the family away from home... i need to go through and add the rest of you guys

I feel your pain, we have to be in our new place in 2 weeks. It's only a mile down the road but it still sucks donkey balls.

The g/f & I are moving to a new (and slightly larger) place. We found one that has more storage, and an AC unit. That will be nice. It's 101f in here right now, and we don't have AC. :-(

talk about "roughin it" and you arent even camping...ah Ill write when im in Tx, in Louisiana Now...taking a break heh
101 no air sheeesh you have to be sweating your balls off......

the trick to relocating a lot is to have few things

i've a chair, a lamp & a computer

i look just like that scene from the jerk ala Steve Martin moving

nuthin' to it....

Sounds about right for government work!

Did you guys move yourself or did the AF do it for you guys? I hate moving.

I am so here for you....anything you need to feel better just call me....unless your calling for help moving, then...well I think I have a headache.
 
He really needs to have a talk with his Command Resource Manager; they can do amazing things and correct wrongs like this one. My sympathy to you & y'uns; moving was one of the reasons I hit the eject button at 20 yrs and 11 days... Best of luck
 
Yeah the AF moves us....:censored::censored::censored::censored: was packed mo ths ago while he underwent training...

we are in san antonio now, tomarrow its 3 hours to del rio...then im napping...he has 20years left....personally im fuming but it comes w/ the territory of being a military wife

but i liked our house...heh spent all of 5hours in it
 
I know it's not the best time to ask, but do you think the Air Force would be willing to move me? I have the uhaul all lined up for next week, but the thought of packing and driving 17 hours just doesn't sound fun.

I appreciate you asking them, I owe ya one! :)

I spoke with the AF for ya. They said SURE, they'd be happy to move you. In exchange they will own your butt for the next 4 years and they would be happy to move you a few more times during that time as well.

I told them you'd be happy to accept. They'll be there to take you away later today.
 
Matt babes I spoke with them..even through in a few good words..I got you a better deal, no offense princess...

they said they will move your things, even store them for free....for the next 6years
they tossed in job training for free
paid uniforms, benefits, insurance..
employment placing w/ guarunteed job position
Free Housing or allowance
AND paid Travel...

all this andm ore can be yours with the USAF
 
LOLOL. All of a sudden the move doesn't sound so bad. I will say though, I have some friends that were raised with military parents, and it's really not all bad... besides the moving.
 
The mov isnt bad...its just the sudden uproot in one day and given 3 days to go cross country whn you have to load up pets....

not to mention thatmy gator is being kept by a friend so now i have to get a 6ft almost 7ft gator from the east to the middle, PLUS renew my permits ect...so now we hve to get a place where the dogs bird, and gator can coexist...

at least the military packs and moves...im fine w/moving just gimme some sort of warning, and a few days to get there...at least though last time we had three months warning heh

We got settled in Tx and got our House as of today...calling TMO to schedule a move to get us our furniture.If they ammend orders again Ima be TICKED.

After the three day ordeal to mov from GA to TX we are doing good.
