Well, I have an Pre Employment test coming up on Tuesday for Cataldo ambulance in MA. Just looking for some last minute advice and words of encouragement. I' pretty nervous for it. I even got to review with a paramedic instructor and he said I should do fine, but I still feel nervous. Well, that’s it really.

Remember the basics. Don't forget BSI. Don't be nervous. Have fun!

Alright thanks. Just a quick question. Before I started studying for this test, I had never used a map book in my life. So, I bought one of the Boston area to practice with. Well, I was practicing routes and then was comparing them to Google maps recommended routes. Mine always seemed to be longer. Well, the difference was Google maps tended to go on the highway much more. The thing is, the highways around Boston tended to have traffic pretty much all the time. I know no one will know the answer for sure, but on the test they will probably just say go from blank to blank. I was just thinking of if they would just want the fastest route assuming no traffic (I seem to not always pick the fastest route) or a route taking into account that there will be traffic. Sorry if this is confusing, at the point I'm about to go to bed and have been up for 24hrs and need sleep.

I thought I would update this. Well I have felt like I failed it since I took it. I found out that.... I PASSED .

I took an employment test (not at Cataldo) which I thought was harder than the state test, only 20 questions, but interesting questions. I studied like crazy for it and I though I failed also, but i ended up only getting 1 question wrong.

Congrats on passing! Did you have any map questions on the test?
