Personal car accident, will it affect my current employment?

I was hired with AMR and am currently on a wait list for my start date. When they hired me I had a perfect driving record. I was in an accident last week and even though the other party crossed the double yellow line and cut me off I am at fault because I'm the one who hit her. Will this affect my job? Should I inform AMR of the accident, or do they check the DMV record regularly?

If you are already hired, I would not mention it unless asked. AMR does yealry DMV pulls, hopefully they don't recheck yours until you are out of the probation period. Even then I don't think 1 point will be a firable offense. If it comes up at all I would not hesitate to discuss it openly, but if I am on probation I am going to wait for them to bring it up to me.

How are you at fault if they illegally crossed a double yellow line into your lane of traffic

She had passengers and they are saying she maintained the same lane the entire time and never made the lane change, so it's their word agains mine
