I just finished up undergrad (majored in economics), currently applying for NYS reciprocity for EMT (i.e. NYS EMT-B) with my CT EMT and NREMT. Moving out to Buffalo in July for a financial services industry position but want to continue EMS preferably PT but possibly as a 911 volley if no PT 911 is available. Any suggestions for services? Would consider privates that run 911 (Rural/Metro, I think, is contracted by the City of Buffalo?) if they're not the fly-by-night privates that exist in other places.

Thanks for reading my little spiel!

its your standard commercial agencies.

R/M handles the city, and they hire per diems. they don't pay well, but they are the biggest in the area.

R/M would be fine if I could do weekends, say, a 12 from Friday PM to Saturday AM, or something along those lines (up to 24s).

Any idea about volley services?

Also there are several small "volunteer" and fire agencies that have a few paid paramedic positions.
