Hey yall,
I am looking for paramedic work in Colorado and am getting mixed reviews and none very current regarding companies, pay, all the usual stuff. I am a baby medic have 2 years EMT experience and just passed all my medic stuff a few weeks ago. I don't mind working urban or rural... but urban would be nice for experience wise but I'm not picky. I would like to stay north of Colorado springs but really anywhere would be good. If you guys have any input at all I'd love to hear it.

PS- this is my first post so if there is a better place on the forum to post this let me know. Thanks!

Do you have your CO medic license? Most places won't even look at your app until you have it. Expect about 2-3 months from beginning to end.

Sent off today. I already have my EMT license there so I don't have to do another lengthy background check since its considered a change in level.
Do you have any takes on companies in the area to avoid or lean toward?

I applied with a couple services out there right when I got out of medic school. Denver health, Poudre Valley Hospital, and a small rural service on the NM border. I didn't hear back from the first two. After some research it looks like they both require a few years experience as a medic. I interviewed with the rural service but didn't get the job.
