Just had a chance to talk to some folks in Grand Blanc Michigan. Excellent day of invasive procedures.

Are there any such oppertunities in your area open to EMS?

If so, list them!;)

When we did our rotation through the morgue, the coroner gave us an open invite to come back and visit anytime, if we ever wanted to watch dissections.

I did the Maryland EMS ShockTrauma cadaver airway lab. They also do one at JEMS each year.

We've got an agency here (Bulverde- Spring Branch) that puts them on either every month or every other month. He covers anatomy, airway, and some other advanced procedures depending on your need. I think I've been sent through it seven or eight times over the years. I'll be there again at the end of June.

Open to outside visitors or closed for your area?

The class is intended for paramedics and flight nurses, but it's open for anyone who wants to go. I've seen EMTs, Nurses, and even high school students attend. I'm not sure of the cost though- I usually get sent. It used to be $70 or $80 I think.
