Hey guys. New to the forum..Been reading for awhile. I've been working for an IFT service in DFW for a year (Yellow trucks) and im ready to look at other options for an EMT-B. I love what I do. But the company im working with is absolutely horrible. They've put such a horrible taste in my mouth I've thought about leaving EMS altogether. But, I simply love what I do too much.
I've considered First Aid training, Safety supplies sales and training. What are other options?
Just curious, What are y'all shifts like? Cause the company im working with has set shifts but they mean nothing. I'm on a regular 8 hour shift but it turns into 12-16 hour shifts at least 4 times a week. A supervisor told me and my partner to redefine what sleep is and he doesn't care what our personal lives have planned...
I don't have a problem working. long shifts. I just want to know!!! Why put a schedule up if it means nothing?
cheers!
