On those slow days, how do you pass the time?

Homework, reading, TV. Those are the top 3.

Sleeeeeeep

sleep, TV, most of the time, studying when I was in school. When I'm in a good mood I'll go for a workout or a few crews will meet up and go play basketball or something

Think he means a slow day on the job lol, could be wrong tho...

Yes, firemed, I think we all are responding to how we pass time at work when it's slow.

Sleep, browse the interwebs on my cell, veg out staring at passing cars.

EMTlife. :-) Research, classes online, read a book, sleep, movies, and cook!

Now that's scary!

HEY HEY NOW! Not all dispatchers are cranky old ladies that smoke more than a Honda...

erm... yes.. 24 hour shifts.

Yeah some are cranky YOUNG ladies.

I resent that. <_<

I am not one. In fact, I am not cranky at all... Ever.
I am happy, natural energy..... no drugs. :-P

Sleeping is the best part of the Job when you start before 6am and are left at a post for 3+ hours.

afterall my instructor always told us EMS = Earning Money Sleeping

lets see.. sleep, workout, cook, play 360, read, clean the rigs.

Dispatchers sleep?!
Dispatchers don't sleep. Occasionally we do examine the insides of our eye lids to make sure they are still there, or hang out of our chairs for a few hours to stretch our muscles, or check out our eye lids again to make sure they are not damaged. but dispatchers are always ready to respond to a radio call or phone call.

my typical way to pass the time when I am on the road is to sleep. sometimes watch TV, but if it's slow sleep. or watch movies on my computer.

Get station duty done for a change...we've been known to grap slushies as a group since it's right across the street, I carry a bunch of free weights in the back of my car to toss on the litters to get extra practice in since lifting is my weak point.
