I am a bit confused, i have done some thorough research and i'm not sure what to do..

It says my certification will be sent in the mail within the next 3 days, but it also states clearly that this is not a license to practice in my state of Connecticut.

After doing some research on the CT dept of public health website i dont see anywhere to apply for this license. My EMS instructor said it is all automated from here and i should just have a number get put up on Connecticut website and i will be able to get onto a service as soon as that posts but i don't see how?

Please help someone that is very lost, but very proud to have completed one of his dreams..

Thanks guys!

Congrats man! I don't know how ct works but have you tried whatever county you live in?

Doesn't CT have a state test that is separate from NREMT?

And no NREMT-B isn't a license to practice, it's a certification.

A certification is a certificate showing that you have proved competence in a certain skill set.

Example: I have a certification from the NREMT and Nevada at the I/85 level as well as a Nevada Ambulance Attendant's license at the level of Intermediate. I can't work for an agency unless I have the AAL...

No i do not believe that there is a seperate test for the license to practice in ct, however im not sure how to obtain it so i could be wrong.

Yea i totally undertand that the nremt isnt a license to practice thats why im curious what to obtain it so i can start being a volly. Im gonna give it a week or two after i recieve my certs and inquiry about it again to my instructor if no one in here has an idea.

Thanks guys!

Call OEMS on Monday to verify they have everything. CT is a national registry state, no distaste test. Just a heads up, it can take six to eight weeks to process your state certification. They only have one person doing the filing, she only works one to two days a week.
But when you signed up for your class, all the state paperwork you filled out included the application for a state certification.

CT OEMS office # is 8605097975.

I say call to verify because sometimes, stuff goes missing...
