I have a question about one of the questions on my NR Basic exam. Will I get in trouble if I ask WHY they asked a specific question if I only say in general what it was about and not the exact question?? Does this make ANY sense at all??

There is just so many ways one can write an airway question and so forth. What the forum does not want is direct quotes or being very similar in wording as this would be an infringement of a copyrighted test/examination.

But you can ask ageneral question about something.

Rid pretty much summed it up, but if you're not sure about whether or not your question would violate our rules, you can always PM one of the Community Leaders first with your question. We will let you know if it is acceptable to post, or possibly suggest a way to change the wording if it isn't.

well ok then....I think I can ask this question without violating the NR or this site then. I don't understand why they asked me a question about knots in my EMT basic exam. I thought...when I read that question that I had certainly failed and I was so stupid that they simply had no more intelligent questions to ask me for whatever section that I was on. I understand why knowledge of knots etc would be important in certain types of rescue, wilderness for example or maybe search which I have been involved in. But as far as my basic EMT the only thing I can think of for using knots would be in a sling and swath. I was SOOO sure I had failed because of that question....but thankfully...I passed. Now why DID they ask me about knots???

The only question I could see about knots would be for rescue or placing in a triangular bandage when making a sling. Remember as well, some of the questions are "pilot" questions and are not really graded but rather to see if it would be a good test question.
