Have many of you read up on the new MyClyns dissinfectant spray? I just bought a couple and was wondering if anyone has seen or heard anything about them? Sounds like a good plan B if, for some reason, PPE fails you in the field. They are a bit pricey, but I think when it comes to preventing diseases that can kick you out of the EMS it's worth the heavy price tag.

Haven't heard much about it. I do know that there is a lot out there that plain old soap and water works best on. Some things that is all that kills them. Soap and water, whooda thunk it.

I believe they are talking about when you are in the field and don't have access to soap and water. But yea never heard of it.

We have it for secondary as with the wipes. Actually, I was at a convention and a flight service was giving it away with their logo on it. We were joking because the spray; which was contained in ink pen shape (large) smelled like tequila.

I think the makers were smart. A good Tequila will kill just about anything!!

Ever do a sternal rub on a grub?

Sprays are dramatic but mechanical and chemical disruption are both needed to destroy any significant potentially pathogen bearing substrate...in English, you still have to wipe up the goo with a disinfectant, not just schpritz it with magic water.
I like HIBISTAT but the boss won't spring for it anymore.
