So before I get scolded for not searching the forum I'll be entirely honest, I tried searching however a lot of my queries were kicked back for "too short words".

Anyway with that said lets get down to business. I was looking for some guidance and advice. I am an EMT-Cardiac and in another month ill probably test for my AEMT even tho it's only really an EMT with an IV bag. National Registry B and will with my A too. I have ACLS and BCLS, in the next month or so I intend to accrue a few merit badge courses just to add to my resume. I have firefighting, ALS experience, and am firearm proficient if need be (along the lines of the PMC type jobs).

I'll be honest I am getting bored with traditional private EMS and the more I think about it I realize I don't want to become a Firefighter simply due to the fact that the pay is lousy and the benefits are slowly being taken away from the job-- I'd rather pursue alternatives while I am still young.

A buddy turned me on to the idea of trying to find a ship-board, oil rig, or PMC type medical gig. Its the money and excitement that attracts me to these type jobs. Even if its an "only while single" gig the idea seems like something I would want to pursue. I have no issues working internationally and would be willing to work in third world areas.

Does anybody have any leads, suggestions, nudges as to where to apply for this sort of job? Trying to get more information.

Thank you

Most of those jobs require paramedic and several years of practice at that level before they'll turn you out to independent remote practice.

look for rescue tech. old partner got hired here. he seems to love it. other than that I have no idea about the job. I do know he's a diva when it comes to job satisfaction so if he's happy its gotta be pretty good.
