Passed my nremt so started to apply everywhere. I sent out a few last week around tuesday. Gonna apply to more tonight. I have a few questions though.

How long does it usually take to hear back from a company after sumbitting your resume.

I did hear back from one and they want me to interview this thursday. Problem is everyone i talked to said its a horrible company. They have a terrible reuputation and all my instructors said its a terrible place to start as a new emt.

So even though i wont be working there do tou guys think its beneficial to go through with the interview or just forget it all together and keep applying

Any interview is a good interview.

You are new, you have no experience with the job and no experience with interviewing. So why would you NOT attend this interview? The ONLY way to get experience is to get experience. So you have what you perceive to be a bad company, one you already know you will not work for...so what do you have to lose by going through with the interview? The answer is nothing...therefore, by all means attend the interview and treat it as if it is something you want. See what the process entails, see how well you respond to their questions...this is real life practice. This is a great place to make your mistakes with no repercussions.

Sounds good thank you for the response. Is there any way i should prepare for it. Or just maybe wing it and take it as a learning experience and see what areas i can improve on

If this were a job you wanted with a company you liked, how would you prepare? Once you answer that, then do the same.

This is not a drill, this is an opportunity.
