Evening all,

I have been invited to interview and test with Grady and wanted to find out if anyone has first had experiance with thier written test. The email invite says its a protocals and general knowledge test. I have been studying the protocals heavly but wasnt sure if there is more to the test? Any insite would be great, im flying from Idaho and want to be as ready as possible.

Thanks

No personal experience with the test. To my knowledge there isn't anyone on the board working there.

From what I've heard though is that it isn't terrible just a general knowledge test to see where you stand.....I don't think are any hidden "gotcha" areas. Good luck! I have two friends who work there, its a busy progressive service.

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping there would be at least one person on here but I guess when I get hired (positive thinking) I'll be that one.

When will you be coming down to take it?

Georgia reciprocity is quick and easy. Had my card in less than a week.

please share any info! ive been in contact with them and basically need to get my state cert before moving forward

finger printed anywhere? (that does FBI/DOJ?)

Thanks!

Thanks!

It's a third party service, my prints were captured electronically at a UPS Store! But, you'll see that all of the info is in the packet. For prints, look for a website link in the reciprocity instructions. It really was quick and painless. It tool me longer to find the files with all my certifications than it did to complete the material. I also had the luxury of being able to call the paramedic coordinator in my last state and ask him to complete the verification material. I had it back, via email, in an hour or so.

Here's the actual packet of forms: https://dph.georgia.gov/sites/dph.g...ocity Application - Revised August 2014_2.pdf

Congrats on the job!

I went and took the hiring test last week and didn't fare so well the first time. I'm scheduled to take it again next Thursday and wondering how to possibly study for it the second go around.
I found it to be quite intimidating. It is geared more towards Advanced EMT and I am an Intermediate. I'm not very confident that I will be able to pull this off.
I've been an EMT since 2000; and am knowledgeable; but I didn't know some of the questions on the medical portion of the exam. I started out as a military medic and transitioned to a civilian one.
I really want to pass this test; anybody have any suggestions?

I wish I could help, I took the paramedic test, I know the medic test was hard and had some random questions that I had no idea about. As for the protocol test its all about studying them every night. Let me know if I can help.

The protocol test was alright. It is the genera knowledge test that I had a problem with. There is no way to study for that.
They said I woukd be taking the same test, so I guess I just have to try and remember what was on the test.
If anyone has any information, feel free to contact me. I really want to get back to work!
