Pending completion of my AAS in Paramedicine and a few last pre reqs (micro bio being one of them, nutrition being another, might be one or two others, have to check), I have been accepted into the ADN program at the community college that I'm doing my medic AAS and program at. I'm stoked now! I was told they have a two year wait list even with reqs complete, so I'm not sure how this happened. But I don't think I'll complain. At the way it will sit, I'll be a GN by May 2011 or August 2011.
After that, it will be transferring to UNM to finish my BSN, and then I'll decide where to work and to pursue either a flight career or CNP education.

Congrats!

Thats Great! Im going to be a nurse too, I start my term next year. We have a long waiting list here in Charleston, SC too. Im starting an EMT B course this semester, and will go on to be an EMT I by next February while I wait for the school to start. YAY!

thats what techs are for....

congrats....i hope to be going into nursing within the next year.

However if you are working in the ICUs or many of the EDs, you will be doing it yourself.

If you want to ever expect to get help and be part of the team, you will do it yourself majority of the time. If not, you will find yourself another job or career.

+1. I currently work as a Tech on the Oncology floor, and the best nurses that I work with are not afraid or shy about getting their hands dirty.

What is a GN?? I have heard this a few times now. Is it the New Mexico term for RN?

Graduate Nurse.
