My day gig gives me a cell phone, and I recently picked up the Sony-Ericsson w600i. 1.3mp camera, plays mp3s, FM radio, etc. Oh, and it makes phone calls too. It works quite well.

Anyway, I was at the part time gig and took some photos..

Me chilling at the tent

My partner spraying the hose to help keep dust down. It's been in the mid to upper 90s around here these days.
I asked her to wash my car and she tried to spray ME with the hose. Sheesh!

My fat self sitting around in a post donut coma.

The view from the tent. In the near horizon, you can see a good portion of the SF Bay Area.

A random person on a horse. This particular event is an ongoing one, featuring horses n' stuff. I know very little about horses, but I do know that they like bagels, and they'll steal donuts from you if you're not paying attention.

Me watching someone run their horse around.

Pretty fun events. Usually they're laid back, and sometimes we get free donuts. Usual stuff is soft tissue injuries & allergy issues, but we've had a few transports. The horses will get spooked and throw their riders off on occasion. And a few weeks ago, a snake bit some kid. The kid(s) were playing with some random snake for about 45 minutes. Mom saw them, came running over, and the snake freaked out and bit the kid.

Fortunately, we're very close to the Stanford Medical Center.

I need a day gig like that... and a phone like that. Once our service provided standby service for a large event and about six of us got nextels. Nextels are so much fun... but not nearly as fancy.

Events are fun... I do the same thing at my part-time gig... we have the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

First week of July will be crazy - I'm probably going to be working 40+ hours in 3-4 days - we are the provider for http://www.americasbirthday.com/ - the REALLY big July 4th 10-day party/festival, etc

My day gig is UNIX system administrator at a software company. It's laid back, but my heart isn't in computers anymore. I'm filling up the void by staffing our ERT team here and working as many hours as I can at the part-time gig.

Problem is the day gig pays good. heh. I'd have some cheap all-you-can-eat local cell plan if I didn't thave the day job.

Nextels can be pretty useful tools!

Great pics!!!!
