This was posted on the local EMSAC listserv. They are encouraging emergency responders to participate, and indeed many of the people following are EMTs, firefighters, LEO, etc. -

Rojas Spanish Language, Inc. presents FREE Spanish Classes online from
Jan 1st until Dec 31, 2010. It is a complete Spanish Course that is
designed to bring a person who knows NO Spanish to a fluent level by the
end of the year. We call this the the Spanish Video Journal. We add a
new video lesson every M-F and each builds on the one before. We invite
our students to write in with their questions so that there is an
element of give and take and obviously since it is offered in video
form, a student can review any lesson at any time, including through
their smart phone or mobile device. Note: If your station has a block on
YouTube or other internet video sites there may be some difficulty
viewing the videos on department computers. Other stations have gotten
around this by either; 1) removing the block on YouTube, or
3)encouraging their staff to use their personal laptops while at the
station.

It is very easy to access the program;
1. Go to www.lacasarojas.com
2. Scroll down the page until you see the photo of the computer
3. Click on "Free Spanish Video Classes Online"
4. Follow the instructions you find on this page.

That's it! With this Free registration the student will have access to
the homework that follows each video as well as the opportunity to write
to us with their questions and comments.

Thank you for posting this :) I think I'll give it a try

I want to learn Spanish so I am gonna give this a shot.

Thank you, I'm going to try it too. I also want to learn German.

That is commendable. It is a gracious person who is willing to help others improve patient care. Thank you medic417 for letting us know about the contest I shall go vote now.
