What’s the realistic average hourly pay for ER Techs in Florida right now (2025/2026)?

I’m in Southern California making $33/hr with 10 years at the same hospital and considering a move to Florida, but I keep hearing pay is pretty low there. CA job postings always list ranges, but Florida hospital sites almost never do.

Well, the average RN wage for entry level nurse is $26-$32, in Florida.....so good luck!

True, but the cost of living in Florida is about 21% less than California, and they don't have state income tax.

Having a daughter who is currently working in FL as a RN, along with my prior decades of living in FL, just know the relative costs are still high. Her rent is $2600/month....and this is not some huge, swanky house. This is just a decent house in a safe neighborhood.

Apartment rents are going to be 1600+/month. Challenging for sure, especially on an ER Tech wage.
