I jus took the 100 200 700 and 800 online courses for FEMA.. Do theese certs give me a leg up over others or do they not really matter?

A lot of services require them after you get hired, if it does nothing else it saves you time later. With that said, anything you can put on a resume/application is a leg up, even if they aren't hard, they show dedication.

I put them on my resume because it looks good even if people have no idea what they are. I took them because I was required to by my service. It works both ways. It might look good to a new employer that you took the time to do it before being required to. You never know what they're going to find attractive in a resume so give yourself the advantage and see where it takes you.
