L&S for a few things.

1. CVA
2. STEMI
3. Trauma Alert
4. Code

Most everything else is manageable en route.

that pretty well says it.. Personally, I would go in without L/S on codes, but firefighters tend to get irritated on stopping at red lights, stop signs.. when doing CPR...

Seriously, if it is a true emergency that is time sensitive, and of course dependent upon the situation... i.e dissecting AAA etc...
