Does your company/organization require an EVOC cone course? I participated in the second closed (incitation only) cone course my company has had and I thought it was a great experience, even for me having several years driving large vehicles let alone new hires. They plan on making it requirement for all new hires once the kinks are worked out.

Yes. Our ambulances were also equipped with a road safety device connected to our key fobs. We would get a driver report every few months.

All employees are required to take and pass EVOC before they are allowed to drive the ambulance.

I got hired by an ambulance company, and it was included on the orientation course, so I got for free basically.

We are required to have it.

Even if we take it through one of PA's approved vendors for EVOC/EVDT

Our insurance company requires you to take theirs. Which the confidence course i sthe same. but the Online learning is different.

As a member of a combined department we have to take a class room course and do the cones. What gets me is that a substantial part of the rodeo is done in reverse, on our own. We are told that we are never to back an apparatus without a spotter, or backer, and yet we're to do the cones without a backers. Huh? Ah well, rules are rules, and we are but the followers of them.

Every other year and at time of hire. Has a classroom and a driving component. Driving component also includes T3s and our UTVs.
