EMT Torches his BMW

An FDNY paramedic was busted for lighting his own car - a new BMW 535 - on fire in Brooklyn, cops said yesterday.

Glenroy Griffith, 39, set his gray 2008 sedan on fire by Prospect Park's Wollman Rink near Lincoln Road on Friday afternoon, police sources said.

An EMT with a $60,000 car... wow. I guess FDNY really does pay well.

There has got to be more to this story. If I had to guess, I would think an impending divorce is part of it.

Divorce or repossession is my guess.

:ph34r::blush::blush::ph34r::ph34r:And we said FDNY doesn't make enough $$ he has a BMW!!!!!:rolleyes::):glare:^_^:P:unsure:-_-B);)

FDNY doesn't pay squat...Probably had other gigs out of one of the voluntary hospitals to supplement.

I agree; probably an impending repo/divorce. :unsure:

My personal experience with the New york Post and Daily News is not believe their articles. Some of my call on medic rotations have made the press and all have had major errors. I am sure a ton of information has not been included.

I had hockey player Sean Avery walk into our hospital and get admitted to the ICU for observation. He was alert and oriented. The next day the Daily News reported he was brought in by ambulance in cardiac arrest based on a "hospital source". Source must have been from another hospital. :rolleyes:

Daily News also reported on a call I took an ambulance rotation, a homicide. A lot of information was wrong. My torso made the paper.

There were other calls I won't get into. Just don't take this little blurb and believe everything.

Yep....the News and the Post are good for that...they tend to sensationalize the truth (in other words substitute the truth for their own version to sell papers) until it becomes downright ridiculous.

Paramedic & BMW = oxymoron

Hey, take it easy on the guy, I always felt guilty about taking big tips too.

wow, his wife must have been rich. or maybe he tourched it to make the payment off the insurance.
