I am an EMT-B currently and I am in the Paramedic Specialist training. I am wondering about good ideas for EMT pants, I prefer the ones with the reflective tape but I would just like some input from others on what they like.

As long as they're sturdy, are of the proper color (for the company) and aren't baggy in the "seat"... I'm good with it. I've worn pants from several manufacturers... Most worked out just fine.

I just use ****ies, I don't need to be fashionable.

lots of pocket room... so I can leave the "batman belt" at home... lol...

reflective tends to be a bit much in my opinion, although I do like rain gear to be reflective...

and personally I am into camo... but only for sar (I look cooler - as if it were possible)... never for ambo... unless I didn't want a supervisor to find me... lol

5.11 Tactical, myself. Lot's of pockets, quad stitched, and blood and fluids just bead off of it.

I love my 5.11 EMS pants. I've spilt water on myself and it just stays on the surface. Plenty of pockets, comfortably, color stays after lots of washes and I haven't had any problems with them shrinking. As a plus they now come in black as well as blue.

I have to wear black ones for my service, though blue IS acceptable in a pinch. I think black looks the best, personally, but that's just because our semi-official color is a dark green.

I have to wear black pants also so when they came out in black I jumped on it. Three pairs, 2 washings a week, for the past 6 months and they still look new.

EMS pants find you will.

I love my 5.11 tactical. Lots of pockets, sturdy, stain resistant. Like has been mentioned, fluids bead off. Pretty sweet.

I have a pair of Tru-Spec tacticals that I really enjoy. Nylon water-resistant (which is its only downfall; I wish they were waterproof) material, 8 pockets (2 of which are mini pockets on the outside of the tactical pockets; inside the tactical pockets are 2 holding pockets to keep things from moving around), and two long, narrow pockets perfect to stick a small flashlight, some penlights or some pens in.

I'm thinking about picking up a pair of 5.11 Tactical EMS pants just because of their great reviews. Maybe next pay day. :P

Elbeco EMS pants. pretty much the same as 5.11, but a little cheaper.

I have proppers and the only downside is they're teflon coated and hot as snot in the summer. Mine are dark navy and could really pass for black.
