woof...here we go again....lot's more to this story for sure. A felony? Really? Even if this was a frequent caller/system abuser, so much to contribute to her death independent of the one disclosed dispatch episode. How many calls had been made? How many refusals? Where there crews that responded only to AMA her? Are they liable too? To pin a death on a dispatcher that occurred a day after a 911 call would be a pretty tall order. Sad deal all around...sorry that kid lost her mom.

If the dispatcher really refused to send an ambulance to a 911 request for EMS, I can't really imagine any sort of mitigating circumstances that would justify this. Whether or not this should be a felony I have no idea.

For all the people who were saying the Vanderbilt nurse should have never been criminally charged for making a mistake, is this dispatcher's mistake any different?

Civil suit, sure, disciplinary action, definitely, but should she be treated like a criminal for making a mistake?

Did this guy make a mistake? Or did he willfully not do what he was supposed to do?
