I have been out of the teaching game for a few years now. What are the more popular used texts for EMT B Training?

I ask because I will buy one (different thread once I make my decision based on input), however one of my children has decided to follow in my footsteps, so we are going to do some loose home based introduction/instruction to see if the interest lasts.

The last bunch of EMT students I've seen were still all carrying the Orange AAOS book. Every program I've been involved with has used it.

Ugh...roger. Not much has changed I see. :)

She might be disappointed at the 4th grade reading level and over simplification of it all! I will order one and do my best! :) :)

AAOS orange book = "the kneebone's connected to the thigh bone"

I used the orange bone and actually liked it. I think it explained the basics pretty well, or at least it made sense to me.

Whatever the Brady book is called.

I like the subsequent chapter, "You shake it all about"

Prehospital Emergency Care 9th Edition By Pearson. This was in 2012, I'm sure theres a new version by now.
