Even that's slightly more understandable than "I'm out of toilet paper!"

We had one case in New Zealand of an elderly lady rang the police on 111
(911), as her little dog had been stratching it's ear, and it's paw had got suck in it's ear.
Guess that is one way of vetting the police. lol

Cheers Enjoynz

We need to run a special on TV on every channel and show and inform people just what constitutes an emergency call. seems like it is more or less people over 30 with stupid calls rather than the younger people.

What really gets me is that it was the moon. She could not identify the MOON! I don't think any amount of education is going to help.

They actually do this in Memphis, TN. They have billboards and TV COMMERCIALS FOR GOD'S SAKE!

an instance of a unidentified flying object, reported by a respectable and reputable person, warrants a 911 call in my opinion. It also creates a record so that MUFON can follow up.

My truck in posted in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Google Gulf Breeze and UFO......

Someone seeing a "UFO" is not an excuse to call 911. We not need a "reputable" person who saw something they can not explain. I have better things to do than chase down sightings like sleep. While I believe in the possibility of alien life, most if not all "sightings" are not fall way short of evidence. Even the Gulf Breeze "sightings" have been proven hoaxes.
