So I have taken my state paramedic test twice now. The first time I failed by 3 points and the second time I failed by 2. I know that I know what I'm doing but I have always been horrible at tests. I study and study and study some more and If you ask me the question I can answer but If you put it down on paper I'm screwed. Any tips or suggestions? I only have one more shot at this before I have to take a refresher course.

Catapres for test anxiety.

Don't eat a large meal before testing

Don't study the night before the test, at all.
It's more important to get a good nights sleep.

Don't over think the questions and methodically rule out the others even if what you think is the correct answer is glaringly obvious.

Don't drink coffee or any other stimulant before testing.

Maybe something is wrong with the way you're studying. Do you do practice problems/tests, or are you just reading books and reviewing material?

This, at its worst, is a very temporary glitch in confidence.

You, amongst all people, have the fortitude to face and work through this last phase and make it all work for you. I'm so happy you've been following through on your ambitions for these last couple of years and have no doubts that you'll make the grade and become a damn good medic.

Besides, you're actually someone who listens and takes good advice when offered here, so don't sweat it, Kiddo!

Stick with your first answer choice. Don't keep changing the answer. That has nailed me on more than one test
