Better than the copycat one in Western Utah in July, they had someone committ suicide by running into the bonfie

This was my 9th year up there and it was a great time. The rain on early Monday made things interesting to say the least, but it was still a decent week overall. Mostly soft tissue injuries this year, which is typical. The weather during the event was nice after the rain left the area. Just a few breezy periods with some light dust storms, but nothing like the ones we had in Iraq.

And more blinky lights than you can shake a stick at, of course...

I was out there Tuesday-Wednesday towing gear off the Playa, I can't believe how fast it hardened back up after all that rain.

Regionals aren't copycats. They're an official, endorsed part of the Burning Man culture.
