Yesterday received emails in caps, "IMPORTANT INFORMATION".

Boiled down, it was the following:
1. Two students per manikin, not one, for all classes.
2. NO written tests, except when an employer requires it (?? how does an employer get your test?).

Point 2: welcome to today's world.
Point 1: ARC just gave away another positive marketing tool.

I'm seeing ARC contracting, condensing, laying off paid line people and using vollies instead or just doubling the workload up. Fees have not come down. Local "Stores" are closing and materials are offered online and not in hand. Seems they are alternately trying to cut overhead, preserving superstructure, and shooting themselves in the foot.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yep. I saw this a few years ago, and slowly cut down the number of classes I did for them, until I stopped caring and my certificate lapsed last year. I'm still getting the emails, but have no interest in riding their financial rollercoaster into the ground. I firmly stand by their mission and activities, but continue to see significant waste and don't know that I understand their subsidization of disaster with health and safety courses. I'm done.
I have spoken to local management before about alternative revenue streams but they are getting messages from national to avoid innovation, and stick to the cuts.

Gave up my ARC and now just teach AHA merit badge classes. I got tired of the political vibe at my home chapter.

Another reason not to accept ARC cards for healthcare professionals

Anyone else get that teleconference on the new electronic certification?

?????????
PLEASE tell me that whole set of acronyms is new, or I need to up my Arricept.
