To date I have hit a deer, a racoon, 2 possums, and as of now now 4 birds.





Anyone else their department/companies designated animal killer?
No idea why,but whenever I work they jump in front of the truck/ fly into the windshield...except the deer. It ran into the rear panel for whatever reason.
 
Skunk, bunch of rabbits, raccoon, deer while on duty (Better than the crew that swerved to miss a raccoon and rolled and totalled an ambulance with less than 2000 miles on it)
 
My partner is known to don a traffic vest, turn on the scene lights, and "process" recently deceased deer, usually with the help of a supe or deputy. Unsure if we would be able to do that if we hit the animal, though with our huge brush guards I doubt it would do much damage.
 
Did you hear about the Boulder cop who shot and killed an elk? They resurrected a elk statue in honor of the elk and held a vigil.
 
Yes, only in the people's republic...

Granted the cop made a very poor choice.
 
Yeah it was distasteful.
The statue/vigil just... Surprised me.
 
Hit a turkey that flew up and almost went through the windshield.

I thought this thread was going to be about that volly FF and the two dogs.
 
I've never hit anything at work, but one day while driving my mom's new Charger a deer jumped out of nowhere when I was driving on a canyon road....my folks still haven't let me live that one down -_-
