I'm applying for AMR in S. Florida and I know you have to take a test. Is the test NREMT hard or a watered down version? Is it situational questions? And is there any hands on skills involved in it?

It changes vastly by region. My test was 80 multiple choice questions and then 60 true or false questions about your morals. The test I took was created in 2007 so a couple of the questions I have never even heard of. As for the hands on that varies also. Some regions don't have a skills test and some do. The ones that have the skills testing, they do them at different times during the application process and the skills that you will be tested on change by region.

It is not a really hard test. I think the State test was harder. If you can get the check off sheets for the practical you will have a good advantage. Good Luck
