well obv i did forget to mention that i have gloves in my pocket. the reason i have a stethoscope with me is bc my ambulance company has crappy stethoscopes .. so i just carry, fits in my left side pocket perfectly.
Im just wondering what other people carry with them when there working. i see alot of ems professionals carry a few things and some that dont even carry. I always have my trauma sheers, littman stethoscope, pen light, mini l.e.d. light, and lots of pens
unfortunatly some companies wont hire unless they have 6+ months exp. some companies do. I got lucky and got hired into a company that had only part time positions available and worked my way from there. All depends on the company
There mainly looking at have you had any exp. on the car. They want to make sure you've used the stecher, using the back boards, c-collered etc. do u run on a fire dept as a volunteer? if you do you can say i have ran with ________________ fire dept since june and list what u do there.

learning new skills, helping people in need. I like this job bc its really fast paced at time, and you gotta be able to solve a puzzle in under 2 seconds to make a right choice
the first arrest i went on was called in as a female fell, having pain. It was christmas day. I rememeber everything from that call, to where as most calls i dont. we found her on the basement floor, downtime of maybe 5 mins, ( she stopped breathing after her husband call 911).. guessing. were a...

In ohio, near canton, we ask the person, place and time (day), and sometimes if its a trauma or a severe loc, we ask 4. Our standard is A&OX3, but it all depends on the company.
How did you get started in ems services? Im just wondering how people got started, did u want to be a emt or firefighter since a kid? I got started because my mom is a paramedic and has been on our volunteer fire dept for 15 years. I also think i got into ems bc of the rush, and i feel im making...
