or you could go for the Strion LED, also by streamlight, its what I have. extremely bright(i think like 160 lumens at its brightest if that means anything to you), but small enough for a pocket, which is why i got it instead of the stinger

Talking to our Clinical Education Specialist, he says its already through, and that we are going to be training and implementing it next year. possibly this is just for our company (amr), but one of the fire departments(it was either lompoc or guadalupe fire) already has expanded scope for EMT's...
you'll hear plenty of different things. some people hate them, some love them. in the end, its hard to judge AMR as a whole, because each different division performs and acts differently. I would equate this question to "Anyone here have opinions on college?" lots of different ones, some better...
under most circumstances, if there are ever 2 different regulations on the same thing, the stricter one must be followed.
however, we're getting expanded scope next year ;)
