Does your rig match the FD?

Though our FD and FAS are a very tight group, and we did start out in the firehouse, I like how it is easy to tell we belong with eachother, yet we are two seperate groups all together. Another thing I like about not matching the FD, If I am going to my truck for something urgent on a fire...

Use of Personal Equiment while working

We have the storage clipboards provided for us. And we have pens but they are actually good pens. It's kinda funny really because there are competing ambulance companies that use our pens at work. It makes us laugh when we go to do like a dialysis pick up and see them using our pens.

Use of Personal Equiment while working

The only personal equipment I use is my stethoscope because The idea of putting one in my ears that countless other people have just....ICK! I mean I know my company is all clean, thank God, but still it's just gross to me. I do use my own cell phone because I don't really think it's that big of...

What is your most ridiculous call?

we brought a lady to the ER at 0115 on a Monday morning because she was constipated. A little cranky for a early morning call for something like this, we get there. she is constipated (elderly woman - 89) because she sat down on her shower chair on the soap and it went up her rear. REALLY!?

EMS Multitasking (Multiple jobs during downtime)

I work in a small ambulance company and we do have the option to sleep, but there are days where our boss requires us to do a few things before we can. Washing the rigs is enough on some occasions, others it is cleaning out the bays and making sure the crew lounge is clean. When I say small...
