Yes, This is for CA, but hope that it spreads to every state. No it's not for postictal pts, they're not intentionally assaulting. The courts have been excusing drunks and psych pts. Laws should be the same for police and health care workers period.
I started a petition on change.org for tougher penalties against nurse's, emt's and all health care workers. Assaulting a health care worker should bring the same penatly as assaulting a police officer. Check it out and please sign...
Not sure if this has been asked already but...I heard that, if a patient or anyone assault's an EMT, that is considered a felony. or does every state, county have different rules. I'm in Los Angeles.

I had about 120 questions, it took me a little over an hour to complete. I still had about 50 minutes left according to my timer, but the test ended. Didn't know how many questions there would be.
Just passed the National exam. I thought for sure I didn't, felt like I guessed at 80% of the questions. A lot of questions were very vague.
Now I need a job, any suggestions? I'm actually looking into working at as a volunteer ER emt tech to get some hands on experience to start with.
Just wanted to find out what experiences people have had w/the ambulance ride a longs. I need to do one before my class ends and not sure what to expect.
