Anyone here currently work for mccormick ambulance in LA???

At CARE only 2 departments we work with lose their mind if you touch a patient first, the other departments expect you to do a good assessment if your first one and a proper turn over, however if I could afford it I would be working Kern Co or out in Imperial Co.

    Care Ambulance calls.

LA county medics expect you to remember all your skills and help in my experience, OCFA has told patients I'm just an ambulance driver and not even let me see a patient until they wanted to move the patient. Experiences vary though depending on who you talk to

    Doctor's Ambulance

From what I heard for Orange County CARE has everything except for Placentia, Yorba Linda, and Brea, which Emergency kept.

Do you need to be associated with NAEMT.org to teach TECC?

Is TECC the same as what they refer to as TCC (Tactical Combat Care)? I know of some EMT's that have zero real world tactical training that hold some form of an instructor position in some smaller courses with zero military experience. I am very interested in this as well I was an FMF Corpsman...

    Paramedic school Southern California

I was a Corpsman in the Navy for 4 years and am still grateful that I opted to work as an EMT both IFT as well as in the 911 setting before going for paramedic school. I can see where the medics I talked to say that 911 experience can help for internship at least.

    Care Ambulance calls.

I've been at CARE for about 5-6 months. You start as a floater and experiences vary. I personally worked mostly 911 until they voluntold me to a permanent IFT shift which I have been working for just over a month now. I would say over a period of 4 months I did approximately 3 months of 911 to 1...

    OC EMSA Issues

I don't know where you live but if it's a choice of making a commute similar to what Woodtownemt describes or sitting around and crossing your fingers, I would look into sucking it up at least temporarily and commute to a more stable and for sure source of employment. I understand and applaud...

Whats it like being an AO?

All the ALS rigs are 1:1 and they have three BLS rigs that are dual EMT, at stations 1, 4, and 10.

    Doctor's Ambulance

It's not a full re bid to my understanding. It's a revaluation of the initial bids to verify all is fair and what not. And the fault of monopolizing the counties lies on OCFA that's why they weren't apart of the bidding process from all the articles I had read

    LA/OC EMS

The written tests at most companies are national registry test, multiple choice nothing off the wall same with skills. From everything I've read Kern county EMS kicks the crap out of LA and OC. There are plenty of threads here about people's opinions on legit and shady companies

Pay rate for Liberty Ambulance, CA

Kaiser OC is their primary concern and much easier to maintain because the providence contract covers so much area

Pay rate for Liberty Ambulance, CA

Liberty LA comes off nice but big changes are coming and they can't maintain employees hence why they pay so much and their $11 for EMT is only on 8's and few of those shifts exist, EMT makes $10 on 10's and $9.49 on 12's with under a hear experience. Benefits are expensive from what I heard...

    Liberty ambulance

Left liberty last month, hated it. By plenty of overtime they mean you're akmost guaranteed to get off a minimum of two hours late per shift. The pay the tell everyone is based on 8 hr shifts and they change your hourly depending on what shift you're working and 8's are non existent. Pm me if...

    Imperial County Schaefer

I'm not sure of their EOA. I know it's gonna be primarily 911. They were just down looking at what's gonna be their new station a couple weeks back

Liberty ambulance or ProCare Medical response

Liberty only has a couple 8 hr cars and the people who've been there for years have those locked down, you'll run 4-10's more than likely and get asked to come in pretty much everyday off because so many people call off and they can't keep people from leaving. With a year or more experience it's...

has anyone one heard about Liberty Ambulance (Los Angeles) ?

    Military base medic

I can only speak from being military and seeing and talking to the base fire guys but they do all the same stuff as municipal departments except on base with the occasional off base mutual aid. All the job postings I've seen for the most part require FF 1 and 2, HAZMAT, and ARFF certificates to...

    Best IFT Companies? (LA Area)
