so I had interviews with an agency (if you are from the area you know what one Im probably talking about) I interviewed with Clark County and Multnomah county. Both liked me, although I was put on the hiring wait list. Has anyone had experience with this?

American Red Cross tends to like to hire EMT-B for national emergencies, I know this to be true where I live. When something happens they call you and then ship you out wherever the emergency is. Might want to look into it with your local Red Cross.
I am looking for a EMT job or volunteer job in Washington/ Oregon. I havent been able to find anything. Anyone have ideas? If you from Washington or Oregon is even better. Thanks
- Volunteer somewhere ( fire department, detox, etc)
- Look into wheelchair transportation ( might have to be 21 but im not sure where you are located)

Where Im from the city has given AMR an extra two minutes to there response time once the fire truck arrives on scene. The reason behinde this is because the firetruck has a paramedic on it.

Strongly agree! Basics do alot depending on the state you are in. Also the basis education is the foundation to ALL emergency care. I also did over the amount of hours and my class was also well into the A&P. Best advice.. study hard, remember what you are studying is really life or death so...
Studying your material and continueing to learn new things is great! Although your books cant teach field experience. Thats just something you have to get into and learn on your own. There will come a time when you get a call and you freeze, you dont know what to do and that is normal. Keep up...
