I would like to thank rescuecapt for posting all of this and I'm sory I havn't replied in a while. I would like to thank all of you for your pryers and concerns. We all have alot of healing to do and everyone has been very supportive. Thank you again, everyone be safe out there.... :)

I actually work with a CCEMT-P every saturday. Do alot of interesting transports mainly ER to Cath lab, perinatal, and picu & nicu, but sometimes we get IABP, LVAD jobs too..... :D

It's ok, that particular hospital give me a splitting headache when I walk in to the ED or the CCU or whereever I am removing someone from...... :D

Sorry, I didn't say it clearly - 800mhz is recorded when you call medical control, but not when you call the hospital. Heck, they don't even pick up half the time at HH... damn NSLIJ. UHSB is SO MUCH BETTER! :D [/b] Thanks recuecpt..... :(

In NYC BLS is allowed to give 162mg ASA PO as long as no allergy, taking blood thinners, recent GI Bleed or any bleeding disorders and at least 36 years of age. In vollie land same as recuecpt 324mg PO without contrainidcations... :D

At the ambulance corps green for members in their cars, and only if you have your green light card signed by the board of directors. We have a few roving xmas trees in my deptartment too.... :D

Acutally the busses in NYC are 2 EMT's and 2 Medics, on our interfacility division it's either 2 EMT's or EMT/Medic.... :D

Another good one for rsi Diprivan, aka "Milk of Amnesia", works everytime and has a short half life when the infusion is stopped very littel side effects, too bad we dont refridgerator on the buses to keep it cool. Also great for vented transports... :D

Our fly car medics that respond with the vollies carry etomidate for RSI, the great thing about it is that they have it under standing orders :D

At the volunteer ambulance corps we have three type III PL customs on Ford E-450 chasis, and one Freightliner FL50 also from PL Custom vehicles. At the Hospital EMS service I work for all are type III Wheeled Coach custom series except for BLS city 911 units which are Wheeled Coach vans.... :D

We still have MAST in my voliie ambulance corps, mainly because od the state. In NYC they are no longer in protocal and no longer on the trucks, which is good it made room for more stuff.
