@noblepacino if you have to stay in LA you could consider Liberty in Kern county, unrelated to the Liberty IFT in LA. The schedule allows you to easily commute from LA, and the scheduled overtime makes the EMT pay more liveable than what you'll find in LA.

Medics make high 60s on their base schedule, EMTs make high 30s low 40s last time I asked. And yes, 40hrs straight time and the either 32 of 56 hours time and a half every week.

Depends by station, some it's 1-2/day, some it's 3-5/day

You did your math on a 40hr work week. I posted the schedule. EMTs do not make $22k a year.

No cardiac hx, pain started 30min ago while at rest. BP 60/20, RR 24 and shallow, GCS 15, a fib between 70 and 110. I called a stemi alert and the cardiologist disagreed. ER doc convinced him to send the pt to Cath where it was discovered he had a complete LAD occlusion and coded.

Transported this elderly male for chest pain, ran into a cardiologist who disagreed with my interpretation of this 12 lead. So I'm looking for some more opinions on it. Any more info that's needed Id be happy to provide.

EMTs still getting paid 13 out of 24 and then paid if they run calls at night. Starting medics are making 60 something a year.

Full time is 72 or 96hr shift per week, part time is per diem to cover vacation, call outs, etc

We are always hiring part time EMTs but as of now there are no fulltime openings

Our only fulltime medic opening is at the lake right now, but RC spots open somewhat frequently if that's where you want to be.
